The European stage of ESA Elite Global Pathway
ESA Global Pathway is the second stage of the connected programme.
It follows the preparation completed through ESA Elite and gives participants the opportunity to continue their development within a European academy and professional environment.
The current programme provides 30 instructor-led hours with a designated European academy, normally in cohorts of no more than 20 participants.
The stage brings together academy training, professional and cultural experience in Europe, and a concluding professional and legal orientation.
European academy experience
The European academy stage builds directly on the preparation completed through ESA Elite.
Participants arrive already familiar with the programme areas and with a clearer understanding of the subjects and professional context they will continue exploring.
Instructor-led training remains at the centre of ESA Global Pathway. Around it, participants encounter a different educational and professional environment and develop a stronger understanding of communication, collaboration, professional expectations and working practices in Europe.
Where included in the programme, professional, educational and cultural activities can add context, encourage exchange between participants and support international awareness.

A European network of independent legal professionals
Professional and legal orientation is a significant part of ESA Global Pathway.
ESA works with a network of independent lawyers and legal professionals qualified to practise in their respective jurisdictions across Europe.
Through them, participants have access to properly qualified professionals who can help them understand relevant documentation, professional questions and the practical matters that may shape their next steps.
Within ESA Global Pathway, this legal orientation complements the academy experience and the participant’s wider professional development.
Individual professional and legal orientation
At the conclusion of ESA Global Pathway, participants receive an individual professional and legal orientation consultation with an independent qualified legal professional.
The consultation gives participants the opportunity to bring together the experience of both stages, discuss relevant documentation and professional questions, and consider practical next steps in light of their own circumstances.
Where it is provided under the programme arrangements, written next-step orientation follows the consultation.
The legal professionals involved remain independent and practise within the rules and responsibilities of their own jurisdictions.
Looking beyond the programme
ESA Global Pathway is designed to end with reflection as well as completion. The programme aims to help participants finish with stronger knowledge, a broader perspective and a clearer understanding of how they can continue to develop their professional profile and make informed decisions about what comes next.
